One thing we can never get back is time.

Money can be lost and regained, but once you lose time, it is gone forever.

It is imperative that you maximize your time… Maximize your day!

But, it can sometimes be difficult to use our time as wise as we should. Wouldn’t it help if you had a map on how to do so?

Well, today I am going to give you 8 tips on how to maximize your day. Consider this list your map. By all means, copy and print it so you have it as a daily reminder.

Maximize Your Day Tip #1: Follow The Rooster

I believe Mother Nature provided us with Roosters for more than just eating.

The rooster consistently gives us our wake-up call each day.

Learn to get up early and be consistent with the time. You will notice a drastic improvement in your production, I am sure!

Maximize Your Day Tip #2: Get The Sweat On

If you do not take care of yourself, you won’t be able to properly take care of your family and manage your business.

Exercise!

That Rooster wants to see you

  • Doing jumping jacks
  • Riding your bike
  • Jogging
  • Walking
  • Or any number of other exercises.

You will find you are better prepared to “tackle” daily tasks when you make exercise a habit.

Maximize Your Day Tip #3: Eat A Healthy Breakfast

Yes, the temptation of just a hot cup of coffee and rush off to work is always there.

Don’t heed to that tempting thought!

You may have a lot to do, but it will flow much smoother if you eat a solid breakfast. And sure, you can drink that coffee too!

I won’t tell you what to eat… There are many other dietary experts to handle that duty. Just know that this goes right along with taking care of yourself.

Maximize Your Day Tip #4: Smile Often

It doesn’t seem like an action that will help you maximize your day, but it will!

It is amazing what a smile can achieve. As you smile, other people will smile back. Your energy will increase and your day will flow like a finely tuned Rolex watch.

Maximize Your Day Tip #5: Kiss A Frog

and then proceed to eat it!

It was a quote from the great Mark Twain!

Each day, you eat a frog first thing.

What did the great author mean?

What it means is to “tackle” the hardest task in your list. By doing so, you will set the pace for the rest of the day. All other tasks will seem easy in comparison.

Maximize Your Day Tip #6: Don’t Allow Interruptions

There is a fine line between being approachable and accepting interruptions.

You have to focus on the tasks at hand. This is a good time to shut down email and social media notifications, don’t take phone calls, and ask friends and family not to disturb you.

Maximize Your Day Tip #7: Clean And Organized

No matter what you think… A clean and organized work area is more efficient than a messy and cluttered office.

Not only is your own attitude affected by the chaos, you WILL be able to find what you need easier and faster.

Make a point at the end of each work day to organize and clean your work zone. It will help!

Maximize Your Day Tip #8: Set Goals

This should be a no-brainer, but I must list it anyway.

Set goals and go out and reach them. Set daily, weekly and longer term goals.

As you reach goals, set the bar slightly higher. Go for bigger and better goals.

Conclusion

You can never add extra hours to the day, but you can maximize the hours you do have. By following these tips, I know you will find yourself getting more done with the hours you do have.
