5 Priorities For New Entrepreneurs

priority

I have noticed new entrepreneurs can easily be pulled in wrong directions. When you look at the internet, there are tons of articles telling entrepreneurs to do this, do that… Buy this tool… Use this software.

And some of those tools and some of that software may be helpful in your business goals, but you need to prioritize. You need to make sure your Return On Investment is satisfactory and that the tool does exactly what it claims it will do.

The reason I am writing this is because I looked back to when I was first starting… I was mislead a time or two.

And one of the things I quickly learned was to use lessons from those who traveled the entrepreneurial path before me.

I want to help you not get overwhelmed. So in today’s post, I am going to share 5 priorities for new entrepreneurs.

Priorities For New Entrepreneurs #1: Set A Non-Material Goal

It seems like every new entrepreneur sets goals like:

  • Buy a $450,000 home in 4 years
  • That Corvette at the dealer will be mine in 1 year
  • Or anything of a material nature

There is nothing wrong with goals like those. But the issue is, you could lower your expectation easily…

  • I’ll settle for a $175,000 home
  • Okay, I’ll buy the Tacoma

What you really need to start with is a non-material goal; a goal you cannot lower.

Something like, I will change the attitudes of people towards blockchain technology or multilevel marketing.

If you set a goal similar to that, you will be chasing something that will provide passion and not just a new toy.

Priorities For New Entrepreneurs #2: Know Your Customer

Here is an area where many new entrepreneurs fail at… You don’t want to build a product or create a service just because you “think” it will be a great thing.

Maybe it is great but…

Will it sell?

Is it truly what your customers need or want?

Before you create, know your potential customers. What are their problems they need solved? If you can make their lives easier, you have a better chance of success.

Priorities For New Entrepreneurs #3: Your Well Being

How can you help other people if you are not helping yourself first? You must be in shape physically, mentally and emotionally.

This means:

  • eating right,
  • exercising,
  • sleeping properly,
  • dealing with feelings,
  • etc…

Priorities For New Entrepreneurs #4: Have A Learning Attitude

I had to list this because a large percentage of entrepreneurs have a penchant of thinking they “know it all.”

Let me be the one to break that bubble… We don’t know even one “inkling” of what we should know.

Learning should be a daily task.

I suggest you set aside some time each day to learn…

  • Get a mentor,
  • Read books,
  • Watch videos,
  • Join in on webinars,
  • Attend seminars,
  • etc…

Priorities For New Entrepreneurs #5: Build The List

You should always be striving to add potential customers to your list. Having a Rolodex full of names and contacting these people at times will result in continuing revenues.

So how do you build a list?

There are many ways to add people to your list; blog subscriptions, contests, etc., all work.

We recognized this need and developed a system that will deliver you leads. These are all personally called to ensure they are ready to “hook up” with your business.

Just visit Rocket Recruiting leads here and we can help you fill that Rolodex.

Conclusion

I hope this helps you on your journey as an entrepreneur.
