How to Attract More Abundance into Your Life

How to Attract More Abundance Into Your Life, Daily!

In many posts I talk about “morning motivation” and how starting each day with positive emotion, motivation, and intentions is critical to attracting and accomplishing what you want each day.  This is even more important with finances and the momentum you will set in motion daily, up or down.  Start each day with these 10 Abundant attracting exercises to attract more financial abundance in your life.

1. Begin from a place of love rather than a place of lack.

If you’re inviting abundance in order to feel more worthy of love, attention, or approval, the energy behind the intention is lack and will only attract more of the same. If your intention is set from a place of wholeness and love, the spirit of your intention is inherently whole and worthy, regardless of material abundance.

2. Practice non-attachment.

Imagine having a crush on someone and calling them 10 times a day to see if they’re finally ready to go out on a date. Instead of convincing them, you’ll most likely turn them off. Know that you have what you need, no matter what you receive. Understand that attachment repels abundance while detachment effortlessly attracts.

3. Know how to allow.

People who consciously create their lives understand that there are no extra pieces. Accept that everything that is happening is for your continued growth and evolution. Greet life with a smile instead of expending excess energy fighting what is. Use your energy to attract rather than resist.

4. Put yourself in high-vibration circumstances.

People who effortlessly manifest abundance make conscious decisions to surround themselves with others who see the world as abundant rather than people who see the world through the lens of lacking.

5. Know the difference between inspired and fear-based action.

We tend to run away from things that scare us. Inspiration attracts, so if you want to effortlessly attract abundance, allow your actions to be driven by inspiration rather than fear. Understand that fear-based action repels while inspired action attracts abundance.

6. Interrupt old money patterns.

Did you learn any stories about money growing up? Money doesn’t grow on trees. The love of money is the root of all evil. Money changes people. You have to work hard to make money.

People who effortlessly attract abundance have learned these stories too, but they investigate the old information that leads to lack and choose to shift their story to allow abundance to flow easily and frequently. Interrupt the patterns that keep others stuck.

7. Don’t be (too) afraid to spend money.

Imagine wanting to grow a garden of flowers but being too afraid to let go of the seeds. If you want flowers to grow, you have to loosen your grip on the seeds and spread them judiciously, but richly, on the earth.

Just like seeds, money can’t grow in the palm of your hand. People who effortlessly attract abundance invest in their endeavors.

8. Know that money isn’t the end. It’s the means.

Imagine you won a million dollars in the lottery. You would celebrate, right? If the next day, the value of the dollar plummeted and your million dollars was worth a thousand, would you still be celebrating?

Most likely not. Why? It’s not the million dollars you want; it’s the experience that you believe a million dollars facilitates. People who effortlessly attract abundance understand that money is not their heart’s true desire.

9. Appreciate debt as much as abundance.

Imagine someone loans you their lawnmower. Would you complain to all of your family and friends about how terrible it is that you borrowed a lawnmower and have to give it back?

Be as grateful for your debt as for your abundance. Understand that debt is another route through which abundance can flow. Appreciating debt allows you to use that form of abundance to create other forms of abundance.

10. Know that while money comes and goes, abundance is always present.

When you lose money, it doesn’t mean you’ve lost your capacity to be abundant. Understand that money comes and goes, just like the sun rises and sets. In the same way life goes on whether the sun is high in the sky or setting behind the mountains, abundance is always present.

Believe in yourself.  Abundance starts with you and what you believe in possible.  Thanks to my friend Lloyd Barnet for his contributions and insights.

My Morning Routine To Guarantee Success. Broken Down into 6 Steps!

“Morning is an important time of day, because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have.”
Lemony Snicket, The Blank Book

Most of your reality is not a given. It is shaped by your expectations, beliefs and thoughts you have formed about it. A big chunk of these beliefs and expectations are encoded into habits you integrate in your daily life. Yes, some of these habits are formed unconsciously and can be counter-productive or limiting but conversely you can consciously form positive habits that will transform and empower your life significantly.

This is a powerful point of departure that more and more people are becoming aware of. The most common trait of highly successful people is the recognition of the power they have in co-creating their reality through changing the way they think, believe or expect their reality to be. One of the most effective ways of changing our belief patterns is through practicing and maintaining daily rituals. Once again, if you look into the life history of any highly successful individual, you will find some form of ritual in his or her daily routine. Some of these rituals may seem crazy or eccentric but don’t be deceived by appearances. Rituals are one of the most effective self-empowering tools freely available at the persons disposal – that is, you!

Below are some the easiest yet life-changing rituals you can do every morning. Of course, you can have your own afternoon or bed-time rituals but a morning routine is extremely effective in empowering your day since they help you charge yourself before it all starts.

1. Gratitude

my morning routine

Feeling gratitude and appreciation for those little signs and moments of joy happening in your life is probably one of the most overlooked or underestimated rituals. It is a perfect morning routine to start your day on a very positive key. The real power of gratitude is that it makes you pick out and focus on what is working in your life – what is in tune with your being as a whole. It is selectively positive.

It reinforces happiness and positivity by shedding light on those awesome things, small or big, that grace your every day living.

Quite often we just pick out the pain points, the problems, the bottle necks, whatever it is that is not working in our life and causing friction, anxiety and unhappiness. This is like constantly rewriting the script of your life with a negative or tragic overtone. Your subconscious mind follows faithfully that script you write whether it is a negative or positive one.

So feeling gratitude is undoubtedly an immensely empowering ritual. Start your day by being thankful for those positive things that happened the previous day or throughout the week. It could be something really petty and small. It doesn’t matter. You might be grateful for an unexpected visit from an old friend, a beautiful encounter with a kind stranger, a new opportunity or whatever it is that shines your way. Do it every morning and see what happens during the day.

2. Writing Down a Task Lisk.  Most Important First.

This is a very practical morning routine. Start your day by identifying and writing down no more than 6 of the most important tasks you need to complete during that day. These tasks are ones which support important long term goals that are aligned to your purpose, passion or general direction in life. For example, if writing a book or building an online community are important long term goals which are aligned to your personal growth, then an important task for the day might be finishing off a particular page or two of the book or coming up with fresh content ideas for the online community. What is important with this morning routine is that you identify these tasks and complete them as early in the day as possible. Of course you will have other tasks apart from the ones you will write down but these are tasks which can be tackled later or batched up and carried out in one go.

Writing down your most important tasks in the morning, helps you focus your day and life according to what is essential. It helps you prioritize and manage your time better. As a result, you simplify your life by applying your focus and energy on what really counts for your overall life progress.

3. Visualize your Goals in Writing

to_the_top_250x250_ad2

This is similar to the previous idea but different in its application and purpose. Writing down your most important tasks of the day is a way to have a concrete structure of action to follow. Affirming your goals, on the other hand, is a very powerful way of crystallizing your vision and goals in life into your everyday mental space. Writing down or doodling your goals on a piece of paper helps you externalize those goals by giving them form. In return they are reflected back in your subconscious mind thus reinforcing them and integrating them more wholly.

An example of this would be writing down “I am achieving greater success in my career” or “I am becoming healthier and stronger through my exercise”. Notice the present tense being used as a way to tell yourself you are in the process already. Remember the life script we subconsciously follow? You are basically modifying the script to be applied now in the present. Drawing or doodling can be equally, or even more, effective  (if you are more of a visual person) as it summarizes a graphical representation of your goals.

4. Drink 8 ounces of Water.  Immediately

At night your body gets dehydrated, this wears on our mindset and focus.  Drink 8 oz of water every morning as you wake up. This is a very simple ritual I follow faithfully every morning. Add Lemon to your water…apart from being a good source of Vitamin C and a great way of flushing out toxins in the morning, it balances and maintains the PH levels in the body, reduces pain and inflammation in joints and knees and helps nourishing brain and nerve cells.

5. Wake Up Earlier Focused on Your Dreams

The practical advantages of waking up early are obvious. For example you gain more time for doing exercise such as walking, paddle boarding or yoga. You gain more time to be with yourself to reflect, meditate or, more importantly, carry out the other morning routines.  So rising early can be seen as a foundation for all the other morning routines. Many, like myself, find that they are more productive in the early hours of the day.

Also, various studies have shown that there are many other benefits from waking up an hour or two earlier in the morning. For example it has been shown that sleeping early and waking up early helps the body attune with the earth’s circadian rhythms thus promoting more restorative sleep. Other curious results from such studies show for instance that early risers tend to be more optimistic and can anticipate and solve problems more efficiently than the norm.

6. Listen to Energetic / Positive music

uplifting music

This morning routine is a no-brainer. Positive & energetic music can have a direct impact on our mood especially in the morning. It charges us emotionally and tunes us into a more positive outlook of the day ahead. Most people wake up to music or listen to music as they commute to work. Very often however they tune in to a radio or randomly pick a playlist from their device. Being more selective and conscious of the music you listen to in the morning can have a great impact on your day and life in general. Try to listen to more uplifting music in the morning even if, or especially if, your mood does not dictate so.

It’s funny how we try to choose music according to our mood. For example if you are feeling down or disappointed by something, you are more prone to listen to music that reflects that mood – for instance blues, sad songs or downtempo music. This has the effect of reinforcing that mood. What you need to do is the exact opposite and retune your mood by listening to music that beats to a different tune than that mood.

A great book that breaks down a morning ritual is “The Morning Miracle” by Hal Elrod.

You create your life, make it amazing!  Why not?  It takes just as much effort to be mediocre as it does being amazing!  The key is a routine of consistent positive actions that accumulate towards achieving your dreams.  Dream Big. Start Small.

The 3 Biggest Self Sabotaging Thoughts…and How to Overcome Them

selfsabotageyoursuccess

“Self Sabotaging is Like a Disease.  Until You Invest in Your Mind with Positive Reinforcement, You Will be Powerless Against Yourself”

– Eric Tippetts

The 3 Biggest Self Sabotaging Thoughts…and How to Overcome Them!

Every single one of us is capable of greatness. If we would get out of our own way and believe in ourselves, we are truly wonders to behold.

Why do we seem to self sabotage our own success by taking actions that deliberately conflict with what we know we truly want? The answer isn’t simple, but rest assured that fear can be managed, and better self-worth can be created through a few simple changes in our thought patterns. Listed below are a few common, self sabotaging thoughts, and how to transform them into more helpful, positive affirmations.

Solopreneur business tips - I can do it

  1. “I’m not good enough, why bother trying.”– Of course you’re not good enough—yet. True greatness takes a lot of practice. It’s painful and discouraging to see how much improvement we need in order to reach the level of brilliance we see in others we admire.“People are Rewarded in Public, For What They’ve Practiced For Years in Private.” – Tony Robbins

So this statement becomes: “I must try, so I can become better.”

  1. “It’s too late for me to follow my dream”- It’s easy to think our “window” of opportunity has passed, and could be gone forever. After years of thinking success should come easy or that I will someday just be “discovered,” I finally have the wisdom I need, and a clear, realistic path to reaching my dream. It doesn’t matter if you are 32 or 76, it’s never too late to start something. The time we spend dwelling on wasted time could be spent moving towards our goals.  The key is, just get started.

So this statement becomes: “It’s time to move forward now.”

to_the_top_audio_image1

  1. “I don’t deserve happiness and success”- Here’s a funny little fact about true happiness: Most people are actually afraid of it. Maybe it’s because we are scared that too much success or happiness means some doom and gloom is inevitable. We think that at some point, we’re bound to lose everything. Maybe suffering is a safer place for some people, because it means they can’t be let down if they are already down. When we are up—happy and successful, down seems much scarier and more hurtful.

The thing is, you are going to have ups and downs. But as you work harder you will have more frequent and bigger ups, and you will learn how to handle your downs better. It helps to remember that many successful people before you have come back from some pretty massive downs.

So this statement becomes: “I AM worthy of happiness and success.”

Everyone must start from the bottom, and the top can seem impossibly far when you let fear and self-doubt drive your thoughts and actions. When you learn to recognize self self sabotaging thoughts for the un-productive lies they really are, your self-worth can have room to grow and flourish. There will always be a small voice inside you that whispers,

“You aren’t good enough.”

Know that you have the inner strength to ignore that self-sabotaging voice, and move forward.

Fear is the Biggest Dream Stealer.  Don’t Let it Steal Your Dreams!

If you have any comments on self sabotaging experiences.  Please leave them and share.

Have an amazing day!

Is There a Dark Side of Success?

Is There a Dark Side of Success?

What if one of the biggest pieces of “success advice” was wrong?

There’s a particular strategy that’s become hot in the world of success and personal development. It’s been hailed as the secret to accelerated results and success on a level and at a pace that would be near impossible without it.

It’s called “modeling.” On the most basic level, the advice is to find someone who has done what you want to do, deconstruct everything they’ve done to get where they are, then do those same things yourself.

Problem is, that can be pretty dangerous advice. It can and often does lead not to success, not to a good life, but to a whole lot of angst, anxiety and failure.

The second, and biggest thing I have become aware and experienced is more than the outward actions to become successful but the inward, mental toughness needed to be successful.  Introducing….the haters, the dark side of success.

“Haters don’t really hate you, they hate themselves;
because you’re a reflection of what they wish to be”
― Yaira N

In the laws off attraction, it says “Like Attracts Like”.  Success attracts Success, Right?  Well, this is the challenge with success.  When you were unsuccessful, broke, poor, needy, broken, and going no where.  Everyone is comfortable being as good or better than you.  They love you and where you are in your life.  They tell you that you are doing great and why change.  Why do all these crazy things, join all these crazy businesses.  Attend all these crazy seminars.

But, then suddenly…..all those seminars, books, meetings, events, and businesses start to produce some results.  You start tasting success.  You begin to have a glow about you.  You become contagious and others want to know what you are doing.

Free report ad 250 x 250

This is where I found a major hurdle or challenge mentally for most Entrepreneurs (and myself), that they start to see success and either feel guilty or let others guilt them about their success.

This is where you start to make others uncomfortable because you are outgrowing them and their ability to grow with you.  This is where you start to recognize that there is more to life.  More people playing a much bigger game.  There is a very hard choice you have to make.  Stay with my own limiting friends or seek new friends that are growing like you.

I have gone through this struggle multiple times and it is never easy.

My biggest advice to you is to become aware.  Who is REALLY supporting you and who is jealous or uncomfortable of who you are becoming?  This is a question you need to be honest with yourself and start to block out the negative jealousy of so called “friends” and seek to surround yourself with people that support your goals, dreams, mission, vision, needs, wants, and desires.  Life is so precious, why be negative and unhappy?

Every minute you are negative, unhappy, and mad is 60 seconds you lost of time to be happy, excited, adventurous, love, experience, and enjoyment!

This is a topic I am going to talk about alot more and discuss with you.  I want others to understand that success is not all peaches and cream but many times backstabbing, haters, and guilt.  You need to be prepared and be able to steer through this sea of unhappiness to the shores of a happy, healthy, and wealthy life.

Please comment and share your thoughts on this topic “Is There a Dark Side of Success?”  I look forward to hearing your feedback.  Thanks!

So much love,

Eric

3 Things Great Listeners Do Differently to Build Profitable Businesses

There’s so much talking happening when presenting opportunities. We talk to sell, convince, pitch, interrupt because we have a thought, provide feedback, overcome what might sound like an objection, explain instructions, and close. Beyond the spoken words, there’s invaluable information to be gained through tone of voice, body language, and what isn’t said.

In other words, failing to keep your ears (and eyes) open could leave you out of the game and no one joining your home business / mlm / network marketing business.

Most people believe that their listening skills are where they need to be, even though they aren’t. Or, even worse they don’t even realize they talk over people and don’t leave the prospect the chance to talk.  Great listeners take time to learn this important skill.

A study at Wright State University surveyed more than 8,000 people from different verticals, and almost all rated themselves as listening as well as or better than their co-workers. We know intuitively that many of them are wrong.

To become a great listener is something that can absolutely be learned and mastered. Even if you find attentive listening difficult and, in certain situations, boring or unpleasant, that doesn’t mean you can’t do it. You just have to know what to work on. The straightforward strategies that follow will get you there.

1. Focus.

The biggest mistake most people make when it comes to listening is they’re so focused on what they’re going to say next or how what the other person is saying is going to affect them that they fail to hear what’s being said. The words come through loud and clear, but the meaning is lost. Focusing may seem like a simple suggestion, but it’s not as easy as it sounds. Your thoughts can be incredibly distracting.

Become a laser beam listening to your prospect and watching your client.  Their body language speaks volumes.

2. Ask good questions.

People like to know you’re listening, and something as simple as a clarification question shows not only that you are listening but that you also care about what they’re saying. You’ll be surprised how much respect and appreciation you gain just by asking good questions. In addition to verifying what you’ve heard, you should ask questions that seek more information. Examples of probing questions are “Tell me more about you?” and “What can I do to help?”, “Why is this important to you?”.  The key is to make certain that your questions really do add to your understanding of the speaker’s words, rather than deflecting the conversation to a different topic.

3. Use positive body language.

Becoming aware of your gestures, expressions, and tone of voice (and making certain they’re positive) will draw people to you like ants to food. Using an enthusiastic tone, uncrossing your arms, maintaining eye contact, and leaning towards the speaker are all forms of positive body language employed by great listeners. Positive body language can make all the difference in a conversation.

The key is becoming aware and taking action.  Go practice these 3 skills today and watch how others are interested in you as you listen to them.

Have an amazing day listening.  People are amazing!

So much love,
