5 Ways To Improve Your Health

improve your health

I know that owning and managing a business can sometimes mean long hours and the tendency to let our health slip is quite possible.

So I felt I should stress the importance of taking care of yourself.

By staying healthy, you will be able to lead your team and manage your business more competently.

Here are 5 ways to improve your health.

Improve Your Health #1: Go Out For A Short Walk

Be it first thing in the morning or during a break in the work day, just go out for a short 10-20 minute walk.

It is refreshing and can help clear your head of any stress, as well as giving you some much needed exercise.

Improve Your Health #2: Lay Off Salt

Salt and high blood pressure work hand in hand. There is ample salt added to most foods, so adding more can be bad for your health.

Try spicing up your food with lemon or lime juice, garlic, red pepper flakes, herbs or a salt-free seasoning blend. These are safer then salt.

Improve Your Health #3: Keep Your Weight At Optimal Levels

Being entrepreneurs seems to give us the okay to eat anything at anytime. And I have noticed an abnormally large percentage of entrepreneurs who are overweight.

I suggest you keep a close eye on your weight. Snack on healthy things like nuts or fruits.

It does take self control but I know you can do it.

Improve Your Health #4: Say No To Soda

This goes right along with weight control, because soda pop is a major contributor to obesity. But it also can lead to other physical problems too. The high sugar content is a major influence on diabetes.

There are better and healthier things to drink.

  • Water
  • Juices
  • Tea
  • Etc…

Sorry to all you manufacturers of soda, but I must tell the people I care for to boycott you.

Improve Your Health #5: Eat A Healthy Breakfast

So many entrepreneurs interpret breakfast as a 1 gallon cup of coffee…

Not good!

Yes, we love our coffee, but for your health, you should add some healthy breakfast items. Some eggs, toast and fruit is much better than just coffee.

It will give you the fuel you need to manage your business.

Conclusion

I really hope this post helps you consider your health. Remember that if your health goes bad, who will manage your business? Who will take care of your family?

Now let me ask you another question that is not health related but your business related… How’s it going?

I know that many entrepreneurs reading this may have a home based business. I want to offer you a limited time special offer…

How To Be More Successful in Your Business, Today!

How To Be More Successful in Your Business, Today!

You may wonder how a small business can suddenly “run rampant” on its large corporate counterpart.

I can look back in time and name some companies who did exactly that:

  • Airstream took other large RV manufacturers like Winnebago and Fleetwood by surprise.
  • T-Mobile jumped upon the cellular wave and have surfed it as well, if not better than the AT&T giant.
  • And I dare not leave out Apple. Steve Jobs would not allow Bill Gates and Microsoft to monopolize the computer jungle.

So how did these smaller businesses hold their own or even “stomp the $*^&” out of the corporate monstrosities?

The entrepreneur set the business apart.

And to gain success as an entrepreneur – as a business leader – you need to be able to do the same. You need to set your business apart. I am going to give you some ideas, tips and advice on how to be the platinum dollar in a roll of silver dollars.

Set Your Business Apart With Super Passion and Belief

If you are in love with your business and your products or services just as a groom loves his bride, you are already setting yourself apart.

And if you put that passion into customer care and service; if you know clients by name and you ask about their children; if you will open ½ hour early because a customer really needs an item but they have to travel to the city and will be gone by the time you open.

You instill that same customer care in anyone who works with or for you.

Are you getting the point?

It really won’t matter if your prices are somewhat higher than that corporate store on the other side of town. The one who has employees who act as if the customer is a pest.

You are the winner because you set your business apart with passion.

Set Your Business Apart By Looking For Those “Hidden” Opportunities

This process involves a measure of risk, but people such as Steve Jobs showed the world how you can create something new that will frustrate the competition.

The idea is not listening to the naysayers and moving forward with those ideas others may think ridiculous.

Right along with this, look for the “hidden” talents in your tribe. You just may be in for some huge surprises.

Set Your Business Apart With Quality

If your quality is even slightly better than the competitor, you HAVE set your business apart.

And, I am not just talking product or service quality. Yes, it is great to add extra value with quality to your product or service, but quality climbs higher than that…

  • Customer Service Quality: I mentioned it in the passion area earlier but I just have to stress this important factor. Many of the big businesses are slipping terribly with their customer service. They have sacrificed customer satisfaction with speed. While many customers want what they want NOW, they also want it to their satisfaction. You need to create a system that has those customers happy after they spend their money with you. You need to be personable and leave a good taste in their mouth.
  • Process Quality: Many people just detest having to take a defective item back to many businesses because they are treated like they did something to cause the malfunction. No matter if the person is handing you money or you are giving money back because of an issue, they should all leave with a smile.

Set Your Business Apart By Using The Latest Technology

Believe it or not, the smaller businesses often have the advantage in this area.

Large corporate structures have invested in technology and asking “the board” to spend money on new technology is harder than pulling the teeth from a mountain lion.

There are still large corporations having staff use Windows 98 because they believe there are more important things to invest in like an Espresso Coffee machine for the monthly executive meetings.

If you believe a new software or other technology will help you serve your clients more efficiently, invest!!

Set Your Business Apart By Being Social

While those big corporations are spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on billboards, television commercials and other costly marketing, you can just get out and mingle with the people who will buy from you.

Consumers have discovered that the only time they truly hear from the majority of CEOs of the corporate monsters is when they are trying to “clean up” a mess an employee made.

Don’t be like that. Set your business apart by being reachable. Tweet a cute kitten picture or post a humorous or motivational video on Facebook.

When business owners show they are just like the rest of the population, they are setting both their selves and their business apart and gaining a lot of respect in the process.

What Qualities Make a Great Leader?

I was recently reading the biography of the recent King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, one of the longest-reigning monarchs in history, passing away at age 88.

Wow! What an amazing Leader! Loved by all the people from every economic landscape.

As you read his story, you realize this person is truly authentic about loving his Thai people so much that every decision he made was to help. To grow. To Empower. To serve his people.

As a “Leader”….so many talk about qualities of a leader and the word “successful” keeps coming up. When you ask what “successful” means to them. They say “income” or some monetary accumulation.
I think success and being a leader does not mean you are financially wealthy. I know many financially wealthy people that are emotionally bankrupt.
Typically if you are extremely financially wealthy…it’s because you sacrificed an emotional wealth like seeing your kids grow up, goto school plays, attend birthdays, Hold hands, walk on the beach, with someone you love, etc…

You cannot get back time. Become a leader in any capacity (husband/wife, mother/father, school teacher, church teacher, business, etc…) by serving others!
Invest in People NOT Sales.
So much love,
Eric

P.S. To learn more about King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Here is a sound bite from Britannica: https://www.britannica.com/biography/Bhumibol-Adulyadej
King Bhumibol Adulyadej acknowledges the crowd in Bangkok during the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of his accession to the throne. Thailand’s Royal Palace said on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, that Thailand’s King Bhumibol, the world’s longest-reigning

Bhumibol Adulyadej, also called Phumiphon Adunlayadet or Rama IX (born December 5, 1927, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.—died October 13, 2016, Bangkok, Thailand) ninth king of the Chakkri dynasty (1950–2016), which has ruled or reigned in Thailand from 1782, and Thailand’s longest-serving monarch.

He was a grandson of King Chulalongkorn and was born while his father, Prince Mahidol of Songkhla, was studying at Harvard University. His older brother, Ananda Mahidol, became king in 1935, but on June 9, 1946, Ananda was found dead in his bed of a gunshot wound. Bhumibol immediately succeeded to the throne following Ananda’s mysterious death (the circumstances of which were never explained). He married a distant cousin, Sirikit Kitiyakara, in April 1950 and was formally crowned on May 5, 1950.

The absolute monarchy was abolished in Thailand during the reign of King Prajadhipok as a result of the revolution of 1932. King Bhumibol, therefore, wielded little real political power, although the constitution named him as head of state and commander of the armed forces. His most important function was to serve as a living symbol of and a focus of unity for the Thai nation.

As monarch, Bhumibol enjoyed immense popularity. He led an active ceremonial life and, despite his limited governmental powers, on several occasions played a crucial role in mediations that either resolved or helped to avoid political crisis. One of those instances came in 1973 when popular protests against the dictatorships of Generals Thanom Kittikachorn and Praphas Charusathien were brutally suppressed by the military, and many demonstrators died. Bhumibol responded by persuading the generals to give up power. In 1992, after a military junta had toppled the Thai government and army chief Suchinda Kraprayoon assumed the prime ministership, mass protests again ensued and again were met with violence. Bhumibol intervened, summoning Suchinda and opposition leader Chamlong Srimuang to a televised meeting, during which the king called for the violence to end. Suchinda subsequently resigned, and a caretaker government was installed until new elections could be held.

National celebrations were held in Thailand in June 2006 to mark the 60th anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s ascent to the throne. Days before the Diamond Jubilee began, United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan presented the UN’s first Human Development Lifetime Achievement Award to Bhumibol at a ceremony in Bangkok.

Britannica Stories

In September 2006 Bhumibol faced a new crisis after opposition parties boycotted elections called by the prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra. The Constitutional Court invalidated the results, and on September 19, before new elections could be held, the Thai military engineered a coup while Thaksin was out of the country. It was widely assumed that Thaksin had fallen out of favour with Bhumibol, who quickly endorsed the coup leader and gave royal assent to an interim prime minister’s cabinet.

Concerns about the king’s health began to mount in September 2009 after he was hospitalized for pneumonia. In May 2014 he endorsed the military government that took power after the ouster of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, but by this time his public appearances had become far less frequent. Bhumibol’s designated heir to the throne was his only son, Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn.

How to Turbo Boost Your Network Marketing Business!

One Simple Way to Turbo Boost Your Network Marketing Business

pacesetter:

[peys-set-er]

noun
1.  a person, group, or organization that is the most progressive or successful and serves as a model to be imitated.
2.  a person or thing that sets the pace, as in racing.
Want To Explode Your Teams Growth?Become the Pace Setter for your Network Marketing Team!

I have listened to so many people struggling in their Network Marketing Business and wondering “why” their team is not exploding…..or even growing.

I learned long ago that if I am  not setting the pace….I am following someone else that is going a lot faster than I am.  The challenge in Network Marketing is that we are building our team.  Meaning, you can rely on your leader for a while but if you want to really build a Network Marketing business…you need to step out from the draft of your leader and set the new pace you want to build your team at.Lead by Example!
If you want your network marketing team to hit a certain rank.  Qualify for a certain trip incentive.  Hit a certain goal.  Make sure that you are putting in the time, the energy, the numbers to show HOW to hit those ranks, trips, goals.

If you want your team members to hit a certain rank.  Reverse engineer what it’s going to take to hit that rank.  I listen to so many Network Marketers spend so much wasted time on “non-productive” activities and wonder why they are not going anywhere.

You need a road map that you can follow everyday. Work the Process Everyday!
You need to know how many people you need to talk to everyday that will ensure you will hit your goals.

If you are the leader, you need to advise your team, “this is how many people you need to talk too everyday and this will produce the results you desire”.  Most people want to be lead and shown the way to success.  Give them a plan that they can feel confident in.  They can feel certain about.

UN-certainty is the biggest killer!  If you are not 100% certain that you are in Network Marketing.  Pack your bags and find another hobby.  Hobbies cost money vs businesses make money!

You need to be honest with yourself and honest with your team members to make sure they are honest with themselves and how certain they are!

For A-type MLM builders…they get really excited by setting the pace and typically most people can’t keep up.

Not comfortable leading or driving others?  That’s Ok.

Recommendation:

If you are not a “driver” or A-type personality, no worries, you follow an A-type person and learn, listen, and mimic/mirror this person.  What you will find is that your pace starts picking up.  You start becoming a Pace Setter and not even realizing it. Also, if you are not an A-Type person…typically, you are a good relationship builder or connector.  If so, start to fill the position of “rewards manager”.

Meaning, when anyone on your team hits any goals, ranks, recruits a person…..anything positive…you need to recognize them on all social media, internal platform, emails, texts, etc….

Make sure you constantly provide fuel to the fire…keep momentum happening…excitement happening…growth happening!

Last, become a shining star for “POS – Positively Outrageous Service”.  Become “that” person that people talk about.  Become “that” person that people want to be around, want to learn from, want to join and grow because you provide so much value and soul.

How to Unwrap Holiday Stress

Picture-perfect holiday activities are quite the antidote to stress: cozy days shared with loved ones, singing favourite tunes, eating nourishing foods from the harvest, connecting with nature while making snowmen, and getting some exercise on the skating rink all contribute to mental well-being. But whose holidays are ever truly “perfect”? Here’s how to navigate five common holiday stressors so you can fully reap the seasonal joys and benefits.

Obligations

We put a lot on our plate. We cram events, responsibilities, and obligations into a relatively short time period, which comes at the expense of having less downtime for rest and rebalancing. When all is well, you might enjoy baking your specialty spice cake, but if you get a request to bring it to a party while you’re knee-deep in a to-do list longer than the paper itself, baking that cake might feel more like a burdensome chore than a sweet treat.

To avoid feeling resentful or overwhelmed, confront the issue head-on. Consider sharing how you’re feeling with the person who’s put forward the request. Practising these boundaries and putting self-care into action may be uncomfortable, but a true friend will honour your feelings and help you lighten your burden.

Maxing out credit cards

We tout “generosity” as an ideal to embody during the holidays. But this time of year, a lot of us do so to a fault. While there’s nothing better than seeing a smiling face opening your carefully chosen present, feeling angst until your credit card bill is finally paid off in March is no way to start the New Year.

Approach holiday spending with a strict budget before you set one foot in the store—or make one click online! The average Canadian spends more than $600 on holiday gifts. So, if you intend to spend around this amount, and it’s within your ability to do so, paying with cash can save you trepidation when your credit card bill arrives.

Difficult family relationships

Whether you’re avoiding a certain aunt who demands to know when you plan to have a baby, or you’re striving to keep political conversations respectful at the dinner table, navigating extended family get-togethers can sometimes feel like playing “the floor is lava.” Strained parent-child relationships during a time of gathering is another difficulty made worse by a sense of loss or loneliness.

If your family isn’t your true cup of tea, surround yourself with people who get you, and take joy in those holiday visits. And when you are with your family, honouring firm boundaries about which conversation topics you’ll discuss and which activities you’ll avoid might be the greatest act of self-care when you’re all crammed in the same house for hours or days at a time.

Food: Friend or foe?

As we all learn more about holistic health and individual food sensitivities, what you eat on a regular day might look vastly different from your sister’s diet, for instance. So, when everyone gathers and attempts to eat the same meal, things can get a little tricky. Eating different foods for the “special occasion” might have you spending the rest of the night reaching for painkillers or running to the toilet!

Whether you identify as gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, vegan, keto, or the like, bringing your own gravy, protein source, and dessert can help you be part of the meal while nourishing your body with food that makes you feel good.

But if you choose to indulge in something you don’t usually eat, have digestive enzymes on hand. These help you break down the food so it will cause less trouble when it gets to your intestines. Drinking ginger, camomile, and fennel teas after eating can also ease indigestion so you can keep up your party spirit.

Extra winter coat

When we eat more treats and laze about with family, some body composition changes are bound to happen! If you want to be mindful of your weight this time of year, you can consider restricting the degree to which you indulge.

Be clear on which treats you’re fine to live without, and which treats you’ll enjoy because they make your holiday special. By shortening your list of holiday indulgences, you’re less likely to put on extra pounds.

You can also try intermittent fasting, wherein you eat only during the window of 12 pm to 8 pm, for instance, as a way to minimize hours in the day in which you might slip in a few extra cookies and a glass of eggnog!
