6 Strategies To Completely Dominate Your Market Niche

Domination is the name of the game!

Photo by Lemuel Butler on Unsplash

When it comes to business, when it comes to the markets you serve, you want to stand above and beyond the competition. You want your competitors looking at you for inspiration. Your goal is to have the feast while they hunt the crumbs.

Today, I am going to give you 6 tips and strategies to completely dominate your market niche. Whether you offer pet food, weight loss items, digital downloads or anything else, using these strategies, you will dominate!

Dominate Your Market Niche #1: Create A Sub-Niche

I mentioned a few niche areas in the previous paragraph. Each of these areas have a lot of competition. But you can master a sub-niche and become a dominator…

  • Pet food – Exotic pet specialty foods
  • Weight loss items – Weight loss walking shoes
  • Digital downloads – New music soundtracks
  • Etc…

These are just a few ideas, but do know that by creating a sub-niche, you are eliminating a hefty part of the competition.

Dominate Your Market Niche #2: Get Social With Your Potential Customers

Get out in the trenches; don’t hide behind closed doors.

What I mean here is that you need to get out and get personal with the people who will be buying from you.

Talk with them on the various social sites. Find out their problems and how you can solve them.

When people see that you are a real person and not “just a brand,” you will gain dominance, respect and trust.

Dominate Your Market Niche #3: Heavy Focus On Features And Advantages

What is it that your product or service has that the competition doesn’t? That is where your marketing focus needs to dwell on.

Now before it comes up, I don’t believe price counts. The only way price counts is if everything else at least matches the competition.

Most consumers like low prices but more important is buying a product or service that is advanced beyond other items on the market.

Tell them what you offer and the others don’t.

Dominate Your Market Niche #4: Get A “Buzz Wagon”

It’s kind of like a bandwagon…

Here is where you get people who know you and respect you to give testimonials, share your content and ideas… They push you up!

One of the most powerful marketing methods is simply, word of mouth.

If you have a “Buzz Wagon” giving you and your brand praise socially, you will dominate your niche.

Dominate Your Market Niche #5: Write Outstanding Content

blog

One of the key factors in market domination is having a brand blog that delivers educational and superb quality content relating directly to your niche.

By consistently delivering high quality content, you will be recognized as an expert and domination will be in your path.

Dominate Your Market Niche #6: Use External Forces To Your Advantage

This may take some brainstorming sessions, but you can either let external forces and circumstances control you, or you can use those same forces to help you dominate.

Look how Apple has taken the movement to an all mobile population and dominated it.

You should consider external forces like:

  • The environment
  • Social culture
  • Demographics
  • Economy
  • Legalities
  • Political
  • Etc…

Conclusion

Keep in mind that domination is a step by step process. It does not just happen overnight.

Follow the tips and keep learning. Use your education to help your potential customers. Gain their trust and you will be their go to person.

One more thing before I sign out… You want to be profitable right? I doubt anyone will answer no.

Have a great day and let’s take your business…

5 Tips To Ensure Your Business Is Legally Compliant

In the world of small business, I have watched what seemed would be highly successful small businesses falter just because they were not legally compliant in some easily overlooked area.

There are many areas that should be examined to ensure your business is legally compliant.

Now, I am not an attorney and I highly suggest you consult one on business compliance issues and questions, but over the years, I have discovered some absolutes about being legally compliant in my business practices. So I am giving these 5 tips to help you.

Ensure Your Business Is Legally Compliant Tip #1: Make Sure You File An Annual Report

If you are registered as an LLC or incorporated, most States require you to file an annual report. These normally consist of a few basic questions such as:

  • The location of your business
  • Name and location of a registered agent if you have one
  • And the names and addresses of directors of the business

Ensure Your Business Is Legally Compliant Tip #2: Keep Clear And Up To Date Records Of Business Transactions

This should be common sense, but I have seen some slip up on this.

This ensures that the business is free of corruption, plus the records are always available for tax or internal audits.

Ensure Your Business Is Legally Compliant Tip #3: Make Sure You Are Paying Minimum Wage (at least) To Any Employees

Minimum wage is mandatory if you hire any full or part time employees. It is not mandatory with contracted persons as long as there is a contract and you are not treating them as an employee. And in most cases, a contracted person is not going to accept any “deals” that would put them under the minimum wage.

This link tells minimum wage standards in most countries.

Ensure Your Business Is Legally Compliant Tip #4: Have A Hefty Legal Budget

Let’s be blunt here… Stuff happens! And we must use the Boy Scout Motto – Be Prepared!

I suggest that from every dollar of net income, at least 10 cents goes into the legal budget. Having a separate account just for any legalities can make things much easier.

There are always legal costs. And not to mention those accidents that can happen. Having an attorney you can call on anytime is just plain wise business.

I know many entrepreneurs have had issues with budgeting. I developed an application a few years ago that has helped many get a handle on business and personal budgets. Click here to check out the Expense Tracker and see how it can help you with your budgeting objectives.

Ensure Your Business Is Legally Compliant Tip #5: Privacy

Europe just instituted new online privacy rules and I believe the United States will soon follow suit. I suggest that if you collect data from website visitors, you first ask their permission to do so.

Privacy is a major concern as more and more criminal elements are using simple data to cause extreme problems for individuals. But, if we are upfront with people, they will gain trust and respect.

Conclusion

Legal compliance is an ever-changing beast. So it is important that communication is always open and transparent. If any person mentions possible legalities, I suggest you research it immediately.

Again, I am not an attorney and I suggest you consult a business attorney in your locale. Remember that legal compliance can change from one city to another, state to state and country to country.

I hope this post helps you consider business legal compliance. If you have any questions or feedback, just post it below.

Thank you.

6 Reasons Network Marketing Companies Should Consider Implementing Blockchain Technology

As a co-founder of a Blockchain system that will allow any person, company or organization to create an internal system that will essentially help their operation run more efficiently, I along with Steve (the other co-founder) have been speaking at various venues to show people how blockchain is changing the world.

It is my opinion that we will soon see various governments utilize blockchain to manage their infrastructure.

But today’s post is not about government. No, today we are going to look at a popular way that everyday people can start a business without going deep in debt… Network marketing, direct sales or multilevel marketing (MLM) is what I speak of.

This post is primarily directed to owners of network marketing companies but I do suggest everyone involved with MLM read and learn. Because your voice to the executives of your network marketing company may be what they need to hear to make the change to blockchain technology which will benefit you, your customers and recruits, and the complete MLM company as a whole.

Here are 6 reasons your MLM company should consider implementing blockchain technology.

Implementing Blockchain Technology In Network Marketing Reason #1: No Human Error In Compensation

One of the more frustrating issues in network marketing is the manual compensation system. With one or more people in the main headquarters manually reviewing the actions of representatives, the odds of errors are outrageously high.

By using a blockchain smart contract system, when any action is taken by a distributor and it is recorded in the blockchain, the payment is cleared and they receive proper compensation. The odds for any errors are so low you cannot see them with a microscope.

Implementing Blockchain Technology In Network Marketing Reason #2: Transparency

The complete blockchain is open source. Any person can go in and see exactly what was completed and the payout. This stops any possible conspiracy thoughts that distributor so-in-so is getting bigger commissions than another distributor.

Just review the blockchain entries because it holds facts… Just the facts!

Implementing Blockchain Technology In Network Marketing Reason #3: Funding

There are many reasons a network marketing company may need to generate more funds…

  • Going international
  • Launching a new product or service
  • Etc…

Using an ICO (Initial Coin Offering) approach, the company could start their own internal token or coin that investors will buy. These tokens could be used to buy various products or the buyer could just hold them. When the company goes “full steam ahead,” they can offer to “buy back” tokens at a profit for the investor.

Implementing Blockchain Technology In Network Marketing Reason #4: Making Audits Simple

You can almost tell when there is an audit going on in any business… It seems many people have bald spots from pulling their hair out. Finding receipts, invoices and other important files can cause mass chaos.

Internal and external audits are so much easier when the business has implemented blockchain technology. Just simply pull up the blockchain where it is all stored.

Implementing Blockchain Technology In Network Marketing Reason #5: Paid Advertising

This is for all business structures.

When we pay for internet advertising, we want to know that our target market is getting served the ads.

By using the blockchain to monitor budget expenditures, advertisers can track investment from the initial transfer of the media budget to the final publication of creative with the media owner reducing the risk of overcharging and under performance.

Implementing Blockchain Technology In Network Marketing Reason #6: Decentralized

The blockchain can cut out so many middle people and allow the network marketing company the ability to reach more people. It is much more cost effective.

Conclusion

In my opinion, many network marketing companies will be able to save a lot of money by implementing blockchain technology. And those savings could be put into lowering the product costs which is one of the huge downsides of many MLM companies… Prices are just too high.

If you are a network marketing business owner and would like to know more, the first step I will tell you is to get over to Nasgo and create an account. With Nasgo, you can create a sidechain that your network marketing company can use to completely manage your business infrastructure.

We can help you get it all set up at Blockcom Studio… Just scroll to the bottom of the page and contact us. We can help take your network marketing system…

7 Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs And How To Avoid Doing The Same

Let’s face it, mistakes happen.

But if a person can avoid a mistake by learning from another person who has committed that mistake, they can enjoy the path to success with less stress.

Today, I am going to tell you 7 mistakes made by entrepreneurs. Some of which I have made. I will explain how to avoid making these dastardly mistakes to take a level of stress off your back.

Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs #1: Under/Over Spending

I had to put this at the top of the list because it is one of the leading causes of entrepreneur failure.

There are 2 types of extremities when it comes to this:

  1. The entrepreneur who thinks he has to spend, spend, spend until revenues roll in,
  2. or the entrepreneur who cuts all costs until the revenues come.

In case #1, the entrepreneur is usually so deep in debt that any revenues must be used to pay it back.

In #2, the revenues barely come because there is no money being spent on marketing.

There has to be a happy medium. It is an issue I had trouble with early in my entrepreneurship career. As a result of that and because I know other entrepreneurs were having the same problem, my tribe and I developed an app to help you keep track of your budget down to the cent.

Called The Expense Tracker, you can see more and take a trial run here.

Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs #2: Seek Advice From Only A Trusted 2 Or 3

There is a big difference between advice and feedback. Feedback should be sought from anyone and everyone and you need not make abrupt changes unless you are getting an enormous amount of the same feedback that is calling for a change in your business format.

Now advice… I suggest having 2 or possibly 3 trusted people who are experienced who you can ask advice from. And, always consider their advice closely. Just because they think it should be the way they say doesn’t always make them right.

Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs #3: Not Delegating

Even though we like to think we can do it all, we can’t.

There is an old saying that if you want something done right, do it yourself.

I say that if you want everything done, delegate.

You cannot or will not manage to handle every task your business requires, so you have to be willing to delegate many of the tasks to team members who are competent to handle them.

Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs #4: Waiting To Launch Until Everything Is Perfect

Perfectionism has destroyed many an entrepreneur. If you wait until everything is perfect before you launch, you will probably never launch because you will never get everything perfect.

It is best that as you notice needs for improvements, make the small changes necessary while you have your product or service being marketed.

Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs #5: Not Defining The Target Market

Your marketing campaigns need to focus on a certain group. Thinking that everyone on Earth is your market could very well lead to failure.

You want to define a target market and narrow it down as far as possible. Focus your marketing efforts on that target. Sure, you will get sales outside the target, but the majority of sales will come from within the target market if you are attracting them with your campaigns.

Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs #6: Not Investing In Marketing

This goes hand in hand with #5.

While you can use free methods to market your brand, it is wise to also invest in marketing campaigns.

I suggest you run a small test campaign to see the response. Find the best paid marketing campaigns to reach your target market.

Mistakes Made By Entrepreneurs #7: Not Using Technological Tools

It behooves me when I hear of a business that does not have a website. But myriads of businesses don’t.

“Oh, we have a Facebook page,” the entrepreneur says.

While Facebook is great, there are tons of dollars being missed if a business is lacking a website. The reason I say this is, the majority of Facebook users don’t go there to look for goods and services. They use their handy search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Duck Duck Go, Etc…). And they will not normally find you Facebook business profile that way. But if you have a website, they will find you that way.

Conclusion

Don’t allow these entrepreneurial mistakes take you down. If you are making any of these mistakes now, you do have the ability to mend them now.

One of the top ways to get a business launched is to get leads.

7 Tips For Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances

As entrepreneurs, we try to foresee what will happen next. But, it does not always work out that way.

How do you react when a curve ball comes instead of that fast ball (baseball analogy)?

We should always expect the unexpected, it is just a rule of nature.

So in today’s post, I am going to give you 7 tips for dealing with unforeseen circumstances.

Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances Tip #1: Stop And Think About Your Options

While some circumstances require immediate action such as a fire, in the majority of circumstances, there is time to think and weigh your options. Making a “rushed” decision can sometimes be fatal.

Take a moment… Get up from your desk… Take a walk and weigh out all your options. By doing so, you will likely have clearer thoughts and the answer may come to you.

Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances Tip #2: Don’t Let Little Things Override The Big Picture

Sometimes an unforeseen event is a culmination of many smaller issues. It is important that you put each issue in its place. You really do not need to perfectly solve each and every little thing. Look at the big picture. Solve the big problem and let many of the little issues ride the waves solo.

Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances Tip #3: Don’t Just Automatically Assume The Circumstance Is Bad

I like to think circumstances have a reason for occurring. And just because you did not foresee a circumstance does not mean it’s a bad thing. Let’s just say an entrepreneur is scheduled for a flight that he MUST be on. The airline has a problem and tells him they overbooked and he must take the next flight.

The entrepreneur is livid! He must make this flight because he has an important meeting.

He makes calls and reschedules the meeting but is still angry at the airline. And then the news comes that the plane had crashed.

While the circumstance was bad and the result was terrible, it was not nearly as bad for him as if he would have got on that plane.

Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances Tip #4: Be Prepared For Various Outcomes

While you can’t prepare for every single thing, you can prepare for every possible outcome that could enter your brain.

By doing so, your preparation may work even if the outcome is something totally unexpected.

Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances Tip #5: Consider How Others Will React To Your Reaction

As a leader, you have tribe members who will follow your example. So before you scream, cry, hit something or throw a temper tantrum, remember that your reaction will be intensified when your followers mimic you.

I say calm and cool is the way. Remember that your attitude can build or break the unforeseen circumstance.

Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances Tip #6: Focus On The Here And Now

Instead of thinking about what you could have done different or looking at how this circumstance will affect the future, focus on what you can do right now to handle this situation.

Remember, the past is gone and the future is yet to come. Deal with the right here and now.

Dealing With Unforeseen Circumstances Tip #7: Consult With Others

Just asking other people what they would do can be a great way to get some ideas. I suggest only talking with trusted individuals.

It doesn’t mean you have to follow the path they say, but by doing this, you are getting a variety of ideas to help you manage through the unforeseen.

Conclusion

Guess what???

It will happen!

In the world of entrepreneurship, there are always unforeseen circumstances. How you handle them is the key.

You know, I share a lot in my climb as an entrepreneur in the book I authored called To The Top. If you would like a copy you can get one for the low price of $14.95 shipping and handling included. Just click here.

An Entrepreneur’s Guide To The Galaxy

It is a science fiction series and book that every entrepreneurs should see or read in my opinion… The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy.

Why do I say that?

Because the main character, Arthur Dent, escapes the destruction of Earth by hitchhiking and catching a ride on a passing spacecraft. Along his travels through the galaxy, we see that entrepreneurship is a fact of survival.

Without entrepreneurs… Inventors, developers, and business savvy humans, the human race would be in serious trouble if entrepreneurs were non existent.

So you ARE needed to keep the galaxy in order. But there are some important aspects about being an entrepreneur you need to know. So, on a play from the great book by Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, I am giving you The Entrepreneur’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Entrepreneur’s Guide To The Galaxy – You Must Work With And Associate With Other Aliens

Guess what, the world doesn’t just spin around you, your race, your culture, gender and all of that. To truly succeed as an entrepreneur, you must be willing to learn about and work with people of other beliefs, colors and even odors as the people you are used to.

And you do know that to them, you are weird too! You are an alien in their perception just as they are aliens in your mind.

While you do have the right to refuse to work with, sell to or partner with anyone, is it really the way to succeed as an entrepreneur?

You want a little secret?

If you carry the attitude that the world “spins around” each person you come in contact with, instead of assuming it is spinning around you, you will create long lasting relationships that will be both profitable and will allow you to be a part of changing the galaxy to a better place.

“You know,” said Arthur, “it’s at times like this, when I’m trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish I’d listened to what my mother told me when I was young.”

“Why, what did she tell you?”

“I don’t know, I didn’t listen.” Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy

Entrepreneur’s Guide To The Galaxy – Age Doesn’t Matter

Some people assume that entrepreneurs should be in their 20’s or 30’s. There have been many successful entrepreneurs much younger and much older.

Age doesn’t matter!

It is mindset and the willingness to “go where none have gone before” that matters.

Don’t let age hold you down like…

  • Carol Gardner – Started Zelda Wisdom at 52
  • Hart Main – Founded ManCans Candles at 14
  • Leo Goodwin – Founded Geico at 50
  • and Catherine Cook who started the idea of My Yearbook at 15 years old.

In those days spirits were brave, the stakes were high, men were real men, women were real women and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.” Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy

Entrepreneur’s Guide To The Galaxy – Dress The Part

Remember that first impressions do matter!

How you dress makes a huge impression on the people you are coming in contact with and will play a huge part in how negotiations play out.

Does this mean you wear a suit and tie?

Not necessarily!

Just consider the place and time and the people you are meeting with.

Entrepreneur’s Guide To The Galaxy – Don’t Let Fear Deter You

Fear and entrepreneurship are like oil and water, they don’t mix.

Whatever you set out to do, you cannot allow fear to control you.

As entrepreneurs, we must take risks… Calculated risks that can be scary. It is okay to feel some fear, but you cannot allow that fear to have the power.

“A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.” Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Universe

Entrepreneur’s Guide To The Galaxy – Build A Diverse Tribe

Be it partners, employees or independent contractors, you want to build a diverse tribe or team.

What I mean is, you want different skill sets. Areas where you are weak needs to be filled with a team member who is strong in that area. So, you have two things you need to consider… Filling weak areas and finding tribe members you can trust.

Conclusion

With the right mindset, you can be a master of the galaxy.

I mentioned building a diverse tribe. That means recruiting and we have an app to help you do just that. Check out Rocket Recruiting which will help you control your business galaxy.

Hey, if you have any questions or feedback, feel free to post them below.
