14 Signs That You Just May Be An Entrepreneur

Do you sometimes wonder if you should use the term entrepreneur as your title? Is there really an entrepreneur present? Could this just be a passing phase like:

  • Bell Bottoms
  • Purple Hair
  • or Flower Power?

Don’t doubt yourself!

Just look at these signs and determine if you truly are an entrepreneur…

#1 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Ideas Upon Ideas

If you have a difficult time sleeping at night because of the various ideas; if you just cannot stop talking about ideas; if ideas are flooding every part of your life…

You are probably an entrepreneur.

#2 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Action

I mentioned the ideas, but you don’t stop with the ideas. You take action on those ideas. Whether it succeeds or fails, you are action oriented.

Action = Entrepreneur

#3 Entrepreneur Present Signs: People

You understand that this is all about people. Even if you are introverted, you know you have to face and appeal to people. People are what will make your entrepreneur goals a reality.

Entrepreneurs are people people

#4 Entrepreneur Present Signs: The Future

You don’t pay attention to horoscopes and other future predictors. You are in the business of creating the future because you know you can.

Entrepreneurs have created our future and will continue to do so

#5 Entrepreneur Present Signs: The Unknown

Fear does not control you, you control fear. You embrace the unknown. There is uncertainty around every corner, but it does not effect you.

This is a sign of a true entrepreneur

#6 Entrepreneur Present Signs: MacGyver

If you just could not miss an episode of the television series MacGyver, you have the heart of an entrepreneur. You probably even have said “I thought of that before MacGyver did.”

Entrepreneurs are crafty

#7 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Planning

If every night, you make a plan for the following day; if you plan your week, your month and your year, you have the makings of an entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurs understand that failing to plan is planning to fail

#8 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Work – Life Balance

If you have no work – life balance… If you wake the kids up at midnight to say “Let’s go camping” (on a Tuesday). If you start work at 4 am on Sunday and stop at 3 pm Monday, take a 22 hour siesta and start again, you are living the life of an entrepreneur.

But do try to let the kids sleep normally and when making those #7 plans, put family time in there.

Entrepreneurs are terrible at maintaining any type of work – life balance

#9 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Selling

Will your gravestone read: He Sold Ice Cubes To An Eskimo or She Sold Charcoal To Satan?

The only way to generate revenue is to sell. You have read every technique on selling and you find yourself watching infomercials telling the television how they could sell the product better.

Entrepreneurs are experts at selling

#10 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Trouble

Do you seem to get into trouble from time to time?

  • Talking on the phone while driving?
  • Pushing the do-not-call list in the trash can?
  • Etc…

I was taught that it is much easier, and more profitable to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Disclaimer: Entrepreneur, I am not telling you it is okay to break laws or rules

#11 Entrepreneur Present Signs: You Are Considered Odd

Do people sometimes say you are slightly different? Are you the odd person in the group? Just consider some of the greatest entrepreneurs in history, they were different. It is odd people that create the greatest items.

Einstein was an odd kind of fellow

#12 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Problem Solving

Do you love solving problems? Be it a small problem or a large problem…

Entrepreneurs create to solve problems

#13 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Procrastination

You have no idea what the word procrastination means. If you could, if something needs to be done and was just discovered, you would go back in time to do it quicker.

Entrepreneurs do not put something off if it can be completed now or yesterday

#14 Entrepreneur Present Signs: Humble

You won’t admit it because you are just too humble to admit you are humble.

If your entrepreneur competitor needs help, you will be there to help them and not in a devious way. You truly want them to succeed too even if their product is in direct competition with your product.

Success comes to those who dedicate everything to their passion in life. To be successful, it is also very important to be humble and never let fame or money travel to your head.” A.R. Rahman

How to Achieve a Full Time Income in Network Marketing

Let’s face it, network marketing is hard work right? In this article if you continue reading I’m going to share with you a few tips and strategies on how to actually achieve a full time income in network marketing.

Besides being a full time serial entrepreneur in a variety of sectors and landing clients like Boeing (among others), I’ve been tremendously blessed to have built some incredible relationships in the network marketing profession.

And I can say with absolute sincerity, I love network marketing.

It enamored me so much that I decided to learn everything I could about it and serve it the best way I knew how…by developing working systems that make the lives of network marketing professionals much, much easier.

If this is your first time to my site, let me tell you a tiny bit about myself…

My name is Eric Tippetts (as you can no doubt see above) and I’ve shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the profession. Some of my business partners and close friends include amazing people like Ray Higdon, Todd Falcone, Jim Bunch, among many others.

I don’t say that to brag, but simply to make you aware that I’ve definitely built some incredible relationships and learned some intimate details about how things REALLY function in the field of network marketing.

For example, I know you’re most likely here because you’re struggling in one of the following areas: lead generation, duplication, or mindset (fear, doubt, etc.).

I also know that 90% of the people visiting this page DESPERATELY want to win in this profession, which touches my heart.

It’s honestly why I do what I do. I don’t have to do it (technically I’m retired). I love to do it. The same reason Tony Robbins, Pitbull, and Sir Richard Branson speak on behalf of the profession.

But enough about me, I’m sure you want to know exactly how it is this content is going to help you grow your business.

So let’s dive in and get into the nuts and bolts of this subject.

Below I’m going to share 3 tips to help you become a much more seasoned network marketer, and if you decide you like what you read you’ll have the option to signup for a FREE limited time webinar that will show you how to not only succeed but take it to the next level and reach that magic unicorn most people in our profession know exists, but rarely ever see: top earner status.

I’ve learned some of the strategies I’m going to share with you from my good friend Ray Higdon, who in some private phone calls and sit down meetings revealed them to me and opened my eyes.

I asked him if it was cool to share them with you exclusively and he agreed to let me do it, so I’m excited to help you get where you’re looking to go!

3 Tips To Crush it In Network Marketing

Tip #1: Become an educator, not a salesperson.

Believe it or not, this tip applies to every profession that involves sales.

An old friend of mine, Zig Ziglar, once said to me that it’s better to educate, not sell people. You see, by educating people something magical happens you may not realize. You tap into the incredible power of the Law of Reciprocity.

See, by giving knowledge (and by its nature, power) to people, they naturally feel obligated to give something back. It’s a wonderful concept that works time and time again.

Here’s how it might sound. Let’s say your network marketing product is a health product that helps people lose weight.

The typical approach a new network marketer might take is to say something like this: “Eric, you gotta check out this amazing product, Tummy Blaster 10X, it melts belly fat right off…I’ve already lost 20lbs! I’m super excited, want to check it out and maybe buy some from me?”

Now if you’re guilty of this don’t get too worried, it happens to the best of us in the beginning.

But it didn’t sound very good did it?

It basically sounds like you’re begging me to buy it right?

Well in human nature, when you beg people they tend to withdraw. When you TELL them to do something, they naturally resist. It’s an unfortunate problem built into our egos, but the beauty of it is if you figure it out from a selling standpoint you can leverage this knowledge to crush it in network marketing.

Sellucation is what I like to call it, and overcomes this. It’s the combination of selling through education. And if done right, it also creates massive CURIOSITY.

Here’s how it would sound if you used education to sell in the same scenario: “Eric, how’re things going.” PAUSE FOR RESPONSE. “Fantastic buddy, you know, I read something online today that was kind of startling…did you know over 70% of Americans are overweight and that being overweight is the #1 leading cause of cancer?” PAUSE FOR RESPONSE. “Yeah, crazy right? I had no clue…I guess I’m lucky I found a way to beat the obesity epidemic without crash dieting and exercise. So what’d you do today buddy, how was work?”

You see what I did?

I mentioned that I had personally found a way to beat it. I didn’t beg, didn’t sell, didn’t even ask him if he wanted to look at information.

Why not?

He’s not qualified yet. But if he gives you the response you’re looking for, he’ll qualify, or SELL, himself.

A typical response from a friend at this point might be something like: “wait wait wait, what did you say, you’re using something to shed fat that requires no exercise, how much weight did you lose?”

Bam.

Now you’re in the pulling mode, not pushy salesman mode. That’s the sweet spot. Ultimately, the goal would be to ask the following question in this scenario: “It sounds like you’re curious, I can shoot you a link when I get home and you can check everything out, it’s pretty nuts man.” Then your friend says…”cool, sounds good.” And that’s it!

You’ve successfully invited someone you knew to take a look at some information on your product, without selling them! This leads us right into tip number two.

Tip #2: Make sure you are leveraging tools and systems, not relying on skill.

Tools and systems are instrumental in your ability to succeed as a network marketer. Imagine how difficult this profession would be if you had to sit down with someone 5-10 times before enrolling them in your business.

And what if you had to explain EVERYTHING?

Wouldn’t that be an awful experience.

I can tell you first hand it would feel like an interrogation. Every piece of information would raise a new question from your prospect and you’d have to answer everything.

Why do that?

Plus, most of your people won’t, and I repeat WON’T duplicate that.

It’s important that you leverage a tool or a system to do the heavy lifting for you. The simplest, most repeatable process wins, every time.

If the system can explain everything in video format, it’s a win.

If the system can follow up with your lead, it’s a win.

If it can collect a decision from your prospect after they go through your videos and learn everything about your company…win again.

Success comes from systems that train and duplicate people, not you trying to be everything to everyone.

Tip #3: Ensure the duplication is proven.

Let’s face it, every corner you turn online now you’re going to run into a self-proclaimed guru telling you they have the perfect system.

They’ll hit you with plenty of shiny sales copy and advertising to persuade you that all you have to do is sit back in your pjs, click a mouse a few teams, and watch your team explode to 10,000 plus people.

Here’s the deal.

Make sure that whatever it is the owner is selling, that it works.

How do you check that?

By looking at statistics and measuring REAL RESULTS.

Once you can do that, and talk to a living, breathing human being that’s actually sponsored people into their business using the system without mastering a bunch of complex skills then you should be set.

In other words, don’t be scared to interview users, check out forums, and talk to folks that are using the system and getting real results with it.

Ok, did you find value in those tips? I hope so, because 99% of network marketers out there don’t understand these proven concepts, and their instrumental in your success.

So check this out…if you liked this article I’m going to do you one more solid.

I’m hosting a FREE webinar that will reveal 4 more tips on how to seriously grow your business, and in this webinar I’m also going to take you behind the scenes in a seriously cool tool we poured tens of thousands of dollars into in order to help you build your business.

10 Behaviors Successful Entrepreneurs Don’t Have

As an entrepreneur, there are certain behaviors and traits that can sabotage your path to success. Some of these behaviors are instilled in us at young ages while others we pick up somewhere in life. But to have entrepreneurial success, it is imperative that you recognize what behaviors are detrimental to your success and delete them however you possibly can.

Some behaviors can be halted immediately, and others you may need to seek help to get them out. But the first step is recognizing the behavior that is holding you back and you can then do what needs to be done to erase it.

I am going to tell you 10 behaviors that can harm you in the entrepreneur path you have chosen so you can make the needed changes to take them out of the process.

#1 Behavior: Feeling sorry for yourself

When things don’t go as planned, successful entrepreneurs don’t even waste time feeling sorry for themselves. The “poor me” approach does nothing but cause ulcers and is not solving anything. The successful entrepreneur takes responsibility, makes the needed changes and keeps moving forward.

There is just no time to feel sorry.

#2 Behavior: Dwelling on negative thoughts

As an entrepreneur, I guarantee you will come across people who just stink of negative. Anything you say will have a negative response come from these people. If you allow them to, those negatives can ingrain themselves into your thinking process.

I would first recommend that you stay as far from these kind of people as possible.

If the negatives seem to be coming from that little area of your own brain, I have found that the best offense is to start speaking positives. Oral positives are a perfect cure for mental negatives.

#3 Behavior: Doubting decisions

Face it, you will make decisions sometimes that doesn’t pan out the way you hoped. But, should you doubt the next decision?

No!

As an entrepreneur, you will find that you are in the decision driving seat quite often. If you start doubting the decisions you make, you will create chaos in your inner being and with the people you are close to.

Just assume the decision you make is the best one and if it isn’t, oh well. Make another decision.

#4 Behavior: Being naive

I just had to put this under the decision making behavior. There is a difference between making decisions and being naive in your decision making process. Use some sense and research the possible outcomes and use that to make the best decision possible.

If Johnny just came off a situation in which he was being investigated for fraud and asks you to partner with him in a real estate venture, do you think this would be wise? Wouldn’t it be naive to say yes? (by the way, Johnny is just a name off the top of my head and does not reflect on any living or deceased persons I know or am acquainted with.)

#5 Behavior: Fearing challenges

Let me first say that if you fear challenges, being an entrepreneur may not be your calling. As an entrepreneur, each day is full of challenges and for me, they are exciting. Sure they may be slightly scary, but that is the exciting part. It is somewhat like jumping from that plane for the first time and pulling that cord to have the parachute gently take us to the Earth’s surface.

It was scary but exciting, and you jumped. That is what entrepreneurs do.

#6 Behavior: Not having compassion

There is a common thought pattern among many non-entrepreneurs that to be a strong business person you cannot show compassion or empathy towards others. That successful business people are cruel and heartless.

I disagree!

I believe the most successful entrepreneurs show compassion and empathy and love their fellow humans.

#7 Behavior: Expecting it will be easy

No one should ever mislead you and say that entrepreneur success is easy.

It isn’t easy, but it is fun, exciting and rewarding.

It takes hard work, diligence and faith in your own abilities. Profits do not just fall off the money tree… They are made through hard work.

#8 Behavior: Not being focused on the here and now

If you are always looking at the past and dwelling on the successes or failures back then, or you are only dwelling on the future and “what could be,” and not looking at the here and now, you are setting yourself up for failure.

It is good to learn from the past and to set goals for the future but the focus needs to be on right now!

#9 Behavior: Insanity

I use this term because it is the definition of someone who does the same thing over and over expecting different results.

If you try something and it doesn’t work, you have to make changes, otherwise you are using an insane behavior.

#10 Behavior: Perfection

I have yet to meet the perfect entrepreneur. Some may be close, but none of us are perfect. While we hope that are creations are perfect, they won’t be. So move forward and understand that good enough is good enough and as you discover a better way, you will have to use what you have.

So get rid of those behaviors

If any of the above behaviors are a part of your life, I suggest that you do anything you can to eradicate them. They will sabotage your entrepreneur journey.

If you need help on ways to remove them, feel free to comment or contact me and we will find a way to get you out of that behavior.

How To Feel Amazing Everyday

While I am often giving tips on how to manage your entrepreneur business, your finances or getting prospects, leads and sales, I felt that today I would just go back to one of the most important parts of being an entrepreneur… Our well-being.

An entrepreneurs inner-self can be a primary factor in success or failure. How we look and feel determines how we treat other people and also is a factor in our decision making process.

I have decided to give you several tips to help you feel amazing on a daily basis. I know they will help you so use these to your good.

Feel amazing by eating at least 1 salad everyday

Our nutritional balance greatly controls how we feel. Salads contain many vitamins and minerals we need daily. Salads are refreshing, so just try instituting a habit of a salad a day.

Feel amazing with an early morning workout

Just get up slightly earlier and go for a nice jog or walk. The early morning workout will get your blood flowing and I can attest that it will make you feel wonderful. Exercise does both your body and mind a lot of good.

Feel amazing by doing something nice for a stranger

Our systems are enlivened when we do good for someone else without seeking payment. Try taking the trash to the roadside for that grouchy neighbor. Give a homeless person a five dollar bill or a blanket. Pay for the meal of the person behind you in the fast food drive through.

Trust me, it does make you feel amazing!

Feel amazing by driving a scenic route

It is wonderful just to out and drive a scenic route. Be it the forest, mountains or an ocean drive, just take a look at the awesomeness all around you. It makes me feel amazing and I bet it will help you feel great too.

Feel amazing by singing

Sing a song… any song.

Just sing with all your heart and you will feel amazing, unless someone hears you and decides to critique your singing. So it may be best to do it in your car or somewhere other people cannot judge you. If they do hear you and are proceeding to critique you, just tell them “This isn’t American Idol and you are not Simon,” with a grin.

Feel amazing with supplements

There are certain nutrients we as humans do not get on a daily basis. I suggest taking Vitamin C, B Vitamins and Omega 3s to help you feel great.

Feel amazing with H2O

Many of us go through life not drinking enough water. Water does a body good and it will help you feel much better. Make a promise to yourself to drink 2 full glasses of water every morning and add at least 6 more throughout the day.

Our bodies need water and it will help you feel great.

Feel amazing with sleep

It is easy as an entrepreneur to burn the midnight candle, but is it really helping? Our systems need consistent sleep of at least 7 hours. It has been shown that if you set sleep schedules and follow the consistently, you will feel much healthier.

If you find difficulty in getting into deep sleep, Melatonin is a natural supplement that helps.

Feel amazing by smiling

Smiling brings on an amazing energy like no other. Even if your mouth doesn’t want to, force that smile and I guarantee it will help you feel amazing and you will also help other people feel great.

Feel amazing by eating some dark chocolate

Experts have found that dark chocolate releases happiness “bugs” in our brains. Dark chocolate is natures way to help us feel amazing.

Feel amazing by dressing sharp

There is a tendency for entrepreneurs to just work in pajamas or sweats. Try putting on some nice clothes even if you are working at home. It is outstanding how this works. If we look amazing, we feel amazing.

Feel amazing with motivational messages all around you

I have discovered that seeing my favorite motivational messages everywhere I look keeps me excited and enjoying even the mundane tasks.

  • Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
  • Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
  • The only way to do great work is to love what you do.

Those are just a few.

Conclusion

It is important that you realize life is but for a moment. Why walk through it filled with stress and depression?

I know that when I feel amazing, amazing things happen. So do yourself a favor and start trying all the tips I gave you above and I will bet that you start having an amazing life.

I have something that can make everything amazing come together for you. You and your business will have amazing success. You will get 3 amazing tools in 1 to create an amazing business.

16 Tips For Driving Traffic To Your Entrepreneur Website/Blog

Many entrepreneurs have voiced frustration when they “pop-in” to their website or blog statistics and discover that only 5, 10, 15 or 20 people visited the day before. New entrepreneurs find difficulty driving traffic to their site, and the first piece of advice I would give you is: Have Patience.

Time, work and diligence will play a huge part in driving traffic to your website/blog

I have learned some valuable lessons in driving traffic to my website and I never stop seeking to learn more.

No, I don’t know it all, but I know enough to be able to help you grow your entrepreneur website/blog to get more visitors, readers, leads and sales.

So here are 16 tips for driving traffic to your entrepreneur website/blog.

#1 Driving Traffic Tip: Write Amazing Content

This IS the most important tip I can give you. If your content is poor or even average, readers will bounce away never to return. Your content needs to have substance and educate the reader in some way. The days of 300 word blog posts are long gone. Make sure your content is at least 800 words and provides value to the reader.

#2 Driving Traffic Tip: Be Consistent

Consistency is a huge factor in driving traffic to your website. Publish your posts on specific days and times. This way, readers will know when they can look forward to reading your amazing content.

I equate this to a normal store in any city or town; if that store is not consistent with their hours, customers will find a store that is consistent.

#3 Driving Traffic Tip: Use High Converting Keywords and Phrases

Search engines will become a major source of traffic if you have great content with keywords and phrases that coincide with your post. Google has optimized their system to punish website/blog owners who are using keywords that are not within the content.

There are keywords and phrases that are popular and others that are not. You may want to use a keyword program such as Google’s Keyword Planner.

#4 Driving Traffic Tip: Optimize Content For Today’s Readers/Scanners

I am going to tell you a secret. Please don’t let this get to one of my High School English professors.

Forget the writing styles you learned in school when you write online content! You need to optimize your material for today’s scanners.

Yes… Scanners.

Grabby headlines will entice the scanner to read what follows that headline. Remember, no more than 300 words following each headline. And short paragraphs are great.

#5 Driving Traffic Tip: Respond To All Comments

When readers make comments on your articles, it is important that you respond. Often by doing so, you will create a buzz of comments and other people visiting and reading to find out what the discussion is all about.

#6 Driving Traffic Tip: Ask Readers To Share

If you are a reader of this blog consistently, you will see that I regularly ask readers to share. It is important that you make it easy for them to do so. Put social media sharing buttons and readers will share your content if you politely ask them to do so.

#7 Driving Traffic Tip: Build Relationships With Influencers

Hook up with influential bloggers; share their material and they will share your material. You may even find that influential bloggers will seek to do an interview with you. This is a great way to have their traffic also become your traffic.

#8 Driving Traffic Tip: Have Your Website On Your Business Card

This should be obvious, but I had to tell all of you that many readers have come to this blog all because I handed them my business card and seeing the web address, they just had to see what it was all about.

People are curious and you will get traffic from your business card.

#9 Driving Traffic Tip: Participate In Forums

Find forums that are related to your business and join. When you do so, create a profile with a signature that has your web address on it. As long as you give positive and educational responses to forum threads, readers will want to visit your website to see more.

It will be easy for them to visit because they can just click the link in your signature.

#10 Driving Traffic Tip: Comment At Related Blogs

This goes hand-in-hand with #9. When you comment at related blogs, readers and the blog owner will visit your website/blog too. Just make sure that your website is in your comment signature and do not spam. Write valuable comments.

#11 Driving Traffic Tip: Have A YouTube Channel

By making educational videos and having your own YouTube Channel, you will gain website traffic.

My YouTube channel brings traffic to my blog. Check it out here.

#12 Driving Traffic Tip: Submit Content To Social Media Channels

When you publish a post, you can really create a buzz by submitting your post to social media sites like:

  • StumbleUpon
  • Flipboard
  • Digg
  • etc…

#13 Driving Traffic Tip: Have Social Media Pages That Also Link To Your Site

Having pages at various social media websites that link back to your website/blog will bring traffic. I know because it works for me.

You can find me at:

Hook up with me at those sites too.

Advertisement Investing

These next 3 tips will require some investing of money, but they can be well worth it to drive traffic on your entrepreneur highway.

#14 Driving Traffic Tip: Advertise On Related Sites

There are many high authority blogs and websites that will allow you to advertise with ads of various sizes on their website for a charge.

Find websites and blogs that are related to your products and contact the owner to discuss advertising.

#15 Driving Traffic Tip: Social Media Ads

Developing ads to use at places such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and others can drive heavy traffic to your website.

I suggest trying various ad formats and finding what draws the most attention.

#16 Driving Traffic Tip: Google And/Or Bing Ads

Let’s face it, Google has the top advertising system on the worldwide web. You can develop a text or image ad and it will bring traffic.

Like #15, I suggest testing various formats and find what works best.

Conclusion

By using the above methods, you can and will turn your website into a huge traffic zone. All of these methods do work, so use them and let me know how quick your traffic jumps.

13 Steps For Entrepreneur Success

Not every entrepreneur is the same. But successful entrepreneurs do have some similar traits and new entrepreneurs can learn from these traits and use it to gain entrepreneur success.

I am not telling you to copy other entrepreneurs… As a matter of fact, I look upon entrepreneurs as being highly individual with their own set of guidelines.

Every entrepreneur is unique in their own way, but in gaining entrepreneur success, they have had to follow some basic steps.

So today, I am going to share 13 steps for entrepreneur success.

Use these to grow yourself into a strong and powerful entrepreneur.

Entrepreneur success step #1: You have to love what you are undertaking

Many people go through life working jobs they detest. Why would anyone do the same when they have gained freedom from working for someone else? It is important that as an entrepreneur that you take on a business that you love. If you love what you do, it will not seem like work.

Entrepreneur success step #2: Find 1 or more mentors

It always helps to have a solid and trusted opinion on moves you make. A mentor can be that trusted opinion and a voice of reasoning. I suggest you find a mentor that has been, or still is an entrepreneur. It doesn’t mean you have to follow every single opinion of your mentor, but they can give you their experience and the lessons they have learned to help you learn.

Entrepreneur success step #3: Make a plan

The only proper way to start an entrepreneur journey and have entrepreneur success is by having a plan. Just draw up a basic plan, and I suggest using input from your mentor and any other people you respect and trust.

Keep in mind that as you take action, you may find you have to make amendments to the plan, but that is much better than going into the journey with no plan at all.

Also, make sure your plan has goals you want to hit.

Entrepreneur success step #4: Build a solid team

Successful entrepreneurs have a solid team behind them. You need to admit immediately that you cannot do it all yourself. Find teammates that are competent in areas where you are not.

Entrepreneur success step #5: Take one step at a time

Always remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and don’t put the cart before the horse (I am full of idioms today).

While as an entrepreneur you want to keep moving forward, trying to complete more than one task or step at the same time is a recipe for failure.

Entrepreneur success step #6: Discover your target market

Unless you are Coca-Cola or McDonalds, more than likely, the whole population is not your target market. It is important that you determine who the market is who will primarily be attracted to your product or service.

Entrepreneur success step #7: Take action

Over my years, I have met many “would-be” entrepreneurs that are always studying the possibilities but they never dive into the water. The only true way to find entrepreneur success is to strip away the fear, have confidence in yourself and TAKE ACTION!

Entrepreneur success step #8: Keep a PMA

Trust me… There will be some days this will be difficult. But you have to keep a PMA.

Oh, are you wondering what PMA stands for?

Positive Mental Attitude!

It is having a PMA that separates successful entrepreneurs from quitters.

Entrepreneur success step #9: Embrace failure

If people realized how many failures Thomas Edison had before he had success, they would be surprised. Or the times the Wright brothers had minor, or even major injuries in failures trying to fly.

  • Expect and embrace failure.
  • Learn from the failure and make changes.

At some point, the failure will add up to success.

I have always loved what Randy Gage has to say on this subject:

People think that the opposite of success is failure, but it’s not. Failure is part of the process of success.”

Entrepreneur success step #10: Use self-promotion

You will have to use a measure of self-promotion, but you must be careful doing so. Just share your work lightly and allow others to promote you.

I do plan on doing a post on this subject at a later date, so be sure and keep in touch with this blog.

Entrepreneur success step 11: Build your brand and reputation

You will want to use the marketing methods best suited for your entrepreneurship. Build your brand by using social media and a website/blog. Always build relationships and network to allow your reputation to grow strong. Keep the customers smiling and success will flow into your lap.

Entrepreneur success step #12: Seek customer input

By asking your customers, you can discover their needs and you can help to solve their problems. It is much easier to find what will solve customer problems and develop a product to do so then it is to develop a product and find the customers.

Entrepreneur success step #13: Never stop learning

There is always something new to learn. Read books, take courses, just learn from any method you can find. Try to make a goal that you will learn something new every day.
